Julian Reid plays Pastor Davis. This is his first Bahamian production but has had parts an extra in “Ugly Betty” and the Julia Roberts film “Duplicity.”
Julian’s passion for acting developed during his days at Hobart College, Geneva, NY, more than 25 years ago. There he was part of the Phoenix Players and did a lot of stage work in English, French and Spanish. He was also fortunate to take part in a workshop with the Nucleus Theatre that was run by Atallah Shabazz (daughter of Malcolm X) and the late Yolanda King (daughter of Martin Luther King Jr). He is proud to be part of Gippie’s Kingdom.
Julian used to be a foreign service officer for The Bahamas, having been posted to London and Port-au-Prince and has been a negotiator for the UN Biological Diversity Convention and the Paris AIDS Summit. He has been a broadcaster for nearly 10 years and specialises in HIV/AIDS and environmental matters. He also acts as a media consultant. He speaks French, Spanish, Portuguese and Creole
